poster flat plan

I have researched into already exhisting film posters to get ideas and insperation on how I want my film  poster to look. I want the Film title to be the largest piece of text on the page and for it to possiblely go along the top of the page. I want the main image to be the focus of the poster and for it to cover the majprity of the page preferably in the middle or the whole of the page. I only want to include four actors names on the poster so that it doesnt look too conjested. The billing block will go along the bottom of the page along with the release date. I want to text to look very simple so that the poster doesnt look too busy.

Film trailer deconstruction 1

The genre of this film is a comedy/drama/romance. The genre can established and understood from the first few seconds of the film trailer due to setting and the emotion of the characters, the ups and downs of the characters emotions show how the film alternates from the drama to the comedy. The soundtrack along side this also really helps you establish the genre as it goes from slow paced to a fast paced rhythm. This film is more of a teen drama as you can see from the trailer that the majority of the characters are in there teens, knowing this helps you predict what the narrative could be. In my film trailer I want to the genre to be quite noticeable.
LOL has a generic narrative for a teen drama, teen girl is left broken hearted by her boyfriend but is then surprised to find out that her best friend has feelings for her. Most teen dramas have a narrative that focuses on this or something similar. For my trailer the narrative won't be as generic as this and I want it to be more unique.
The target audience for this film is quite obvious as the majority of the casts age are 16/18 which suggest the audience will be for people around this age. The target audience for my film trailer are teenagers therefore the cast will also have to be teenagers.
The music in this trailer is quite slow which corresponds with the genre of the film. It matches well with the drama tone of the film trailer and the with the narrative. The rhythm and speed of the music gets faster when there is more action and drama going on in the trailer. For my film trailer I want a dramatic song playing.
At the start of the trailer there is a lot of slow motion shots, this immediately suggest the drama in the film. A lot of the shots in the film are close ups because the film focuses on emotion as one of its main conventions which can be seen through the trailer. Closeups help see the characters emotions and expressions which is something I want in my film trailer.
There is a lot of slow motion in the film trailer which is something I don't really want to focus on in my film trailer.

Magazine colour scheme

This is the colour scheme that I have chose and want to follow through onto my magazine front cover. I chose this colour scheme as I feel it will go best with my film, it being a teen drama and the cast being female. This colour scheme will also be incorporated in my film poster.

peer feedback on blog

As a class we have peer marked each others blogs to help us improve on them. This task is helpful as it gives you good critical feedback on your blog and also shows you what other blogs are like in the class so that you can add posts that you haven't included on your blog. On each of the feedback notes I was given two positive bits of feedback and one critical piece that I can improve on.

Positive feedback:
- Clear knowledge of genre
- Good reconstructions as they looked like original products
- Well planned and presented
- Good use of digital technology

Things to improve on:
- Overall design of my blog could be altered
- Research more into Institutions

I then gave myself personal feedback on my blog after looking through it I made some notes on other things that I need include and alter on my blog posts. When reviewing by blog I have decided That I need to post trailer deconstructions and research into film institutions. These notes and feedback will help me really improve on my blog to make it better and achieve higher marks.
